ACADEMIC SUCCESS & CAREER PATHWAYS

 PREPARING GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE GRADUATES &
FUTURE LEADERS

Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge young people learn at school. We create opportunities for high-yield learning activities, which include leisure reading, writing, discussions with knowledgeable adults, homework help, tutoring, helping others and games. Our programs are designed to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career.

ACADEMIC SUCCESS PROGRAMS

Power Hour: Making Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve Academic Success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners.

Each of our Clubs offers daily activities and programs designed to develop members’ skills in the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Our technology programs provide youth with access to technology, develop members’ technical skills, promote workforce readiness by increasing career options for young people, and support members’ academic performance.

The College & Career Pathways program provides middle and high school Club members with the opportunity to explore college and career options that align with their academic goals, interests, and motivations. LEARN MORE ABOUT CC AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR TEENS.
