North County Recreation League (NCRL) member

Provide 10 seasons of 9 different sports

Includes girls’ volleyball, girls’ lacrosse, co-ed basketball, co-ed flag football, golf, tennis, track and field, cross country, and badminton.

Open to all enrolled Pacifica middle school students

Sports-only memberships (non-Club membership) available: $30 annual membership fee plus specific league costs

Bill Lepeltak, Athletic Director, Pacifica Community Sports Program

Bill has been with the Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County since 2002. Bill has an extensive coaching and refereeing career with many public and private institutions at the middle school, high school, and college levels, including, Oceana High School, Terra Nova High School, Burlingame High School, and Notre Dame De Namur University. He was instrumental in developing the Pacifica middle school sports league program through the Ingrid B. Lacy Middle School Clubhouse, where he continues to manage nine different sports via numerous year-round leagues. Bill has worked as a correspondent and sports reporter for the Pacifica Tribune, and he was awarded the San Mateo County Coach of the Year Award in 2013.

 

PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES

  • Every member receives a daily healthy snack (grain, dairy, fruit); inquire with staff for any dietary or allergy concerns
  • Every member participates in Power Hour (homework assistance and completion)
  • Every member participates in fitness hour and organized play
  • Arts & Crafts daily (all ages)

RENT-A-CENTER COMPUTER CLUBHOUSE

  • Daily access, and open to all members; age appropriate learning projects; includes learning about software, hardware, and other computer and tech-related concepts
  • Digital Arts Program includes being creative while learning new software

ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS OF INTEREST

  • Extensive outside garden boxes where members grow vegetables and herbs, and harvest regularly as needed
  • Special and/or larger scale arts and crafts projects monthly (all ages)
  • Monthly birthday celebrations (acknowledgment of birthdays for the month during member meeting; birthday members receive special treat)
  • Monthly member recognitions via “Youth of the Month”
