Torani’s annual holiday visit has become a beloved tradition for Boys & Girls Club kids. This year, they led our members in arts & crafts, brought delicious treats, and even coordinated a visit from Santa Claus himself. We’re so grateful to have Torani as part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County’s family!

Today at the Sunshine Gardens Elementary School Clubhouse, our club fifth grade leaders surprised teachers and came into their holiday party bearing gifts. The principal and teachers were all smiles and were delighted to receive their rainbow soups! We wish all of the teachers and staff a Happy Holiday season!
We would like to thank our friends and family at Genentech for being one of our biggest supporters with today’s grant donation of $10,000! Without companies like Genentech the club would not be able to open it’s doors. We salute them for their ongoing contributions to our youth and teens!!! Happy Holidays!!!

This Thanksgiving, Boys & Girls Club kids at the Paradise Valley Clubhouse in South San Francisco expressed their gratitude for the most important things in their lives.
Last week, over twenty Club kids from the Paradise Valley Clubhouse went to Oyster Point and participated in a cleanup day sponsored by the South San Francisco Fire Department.
Check out what Tom Carney from the South San Francisco Fire Department had to say about the Club’s service activity.
Members of the Club’s Tech Builders program participated in the Bay Area Science Fair at AT&T Park on November 8th. Together with members from Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club, our kids led Discovery Day participants in a soldering project. Check out the video below!
We’d like to thank everyone who made the Club’s 8th Annual Monster Bash such a huge success, including all of the Starbucks volunteers who helped out!

We’re incredibly proud to introduce this year’s First Semester Honor Roll students at the Alta Loma Middle School Clubhouse! 3 of our kids, pictured with red seals on their certificates, earned a 4.0 GPA.
Thanks to programs like Power Hour, the Club’s academic hour, these members are excelling in school and having an amazing time at the Clubhouse.
On October 21st, 2015 several students from the Teen Center hopped on Bart and headed down to San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood to participate in a service learning field trip where we served food at the world famous Glide Memorial. It was an awesome experience and a chance for our youth to give back and serve others in need. Westborough Sixth Grader Xander Vasquez said the following about his experience at Glide:
The trip to Glide Memorial was a blast. It made me feel grateful for what I have and the life that I’m privileged with. I got to meet new people and serve food. I met a man who served our country and lost his leg and had his recovery run him dry. We talked and I got to learn a little bit about him. I served in the “Coffee Box” which was a room where the disabled ate. At the end of the day, I feel good and I know I’ve helped a few people today.
