It’s always a delight when Torani visits the Club, and their most recent visit was no exception. Our middle schoolers had the opportunity to meet members of Torani’s Research & Development team, who led a presentation about food science and product development. Members tested a variety of Torani products, including their strawberry syrup and caramel sauce. They also learned more about pursuing careers in the food science industry, including the company’s high school internship program.
Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County staff had a wonderful opportunity to meet with South San Francisco Unified School District’s leadership and middle school principals to discuss the Club’s growing middle school programs. Participants included Dr. Shawnterra Moore, SSFUSD Superintendent; Dr. Leticia Bhatia, SSFUSD Interim Assistant Superintendent; Mr. Lou Delorio, Alta Loma Middle School Principal; Ms. Barbara Bowler, Westborough Middle School Interim Principal; and Mr. Marco Lopez, Parkway Heights Middle School Principal.
The Club is incredibly grateful for the District’s support, and we look forward to deepening our partnership to continue serving the students of South San Francisco!
