Summer Athletics 2023

This is going to be an action-packed summer filled with 6 unique sports camps! Our experienced and dedicated team will immerse your youth in a fun, challenging, and enriching summer program. Each week we offer a different sport and cater to 2 different age groups: 1st – 4th grade located at our Yosemite Clubhouse, and 5th – 8th grade located at our IBL Clubhouse. Basketball Camp

June 26-30

Yosemite Clubhouse – 1st-4th, Outdoor courts

IBL Clubhouse -5th-8th, Indoor courts

Just getting started with basketball or wanting to improve your skills?  Then attend Basketball Camp as our Athletics staff and guest coaches/trainers help lead structured fundamental sessions with the group which includes:

Bowling Camp

July 3, 5-7 (4th of July Closed) at Classic Bowl.  

Show us your skills on the lanes as we bowl, laugh, and learn together at Classic Bowl in South San Francisco.  We will have Athletics Staff and a guest bowling instructor to teach club kids on bowling techniques.  Let’s bowl some STRIKES together! Included in the price:

-Camp Shirt

-Bowling shoes

-Transportation to Classic Bowl from the clubhouse, and return to the clubhouse

Flag Football Camp

July 10-14

“Ready… set… hike!”  Interested in learning and playing Flag Football?  Join our Flag Football Program where we have strength and conditioning sessions, group training, and intramural scrimmages.  Learn from USFTL coaches as they use curriculum from USA Youth Football (49ers PREP). This program is designed for CO-ED student athletes.  They practice together between 45-60 minutes and are split into teams to utilize what they learned into live gameplay for up to 30 minutes. Included in the price:

Soccer Camp

July 17-21

“Goal!!!”  Come join our soccer program where youth players learn from Athletics Staff and guest coaches from America Scores using the USA Youth Soccer curriculum.  Open to any experience as they participate in agility training, team practice sessions, and intramural scrimmages.  This program is catered to student athletes in a CO-ED setting.  Played on the field – youth will run drills for 45-60 minutes and play a game for about 20-30 minutes to use what they learned throughout the sessions into live gameplay. Included in the price:

Volleyball at IBL Clubhouse – 5th-8th grade ONLY

July 24-28

Join our volleyball family here at Boys & Girls Club of North San Mateo County!  Our Volleyball Training Program is dedicated to helping each student athlete work on their own skills while working with a group on team aspects.  They will be doing strength and conditioning as well as agility, footwork, and speed training.  The workouts will be specific to volleyball movements and challenging each player to become more knowledgeable about the game, stronger or faster than they were coming into the gym.  We have guest trainers from SFBA Sports Performance, coaches from Travel/Clubs teams, and local coaches/trainers.  We hope their experience with us gives them more confidence and the abilities to continue playing. Included in the price:

Alternative Sports Camp at Yosemite Clubhouse – 1st-4th grade ONLY

July 24-28

Want to learn and play other sports like Kickball, Ultimate Frisbee, Bubble Ball, Track & Field, and more?  These team sports will “WOW!” your youth as they engage in fun and exciting alternative sports. Each day offers a new sport to try out – come join the fun! Included in the price:

Baseball/Softball/Teeball

July 31-August 4

Jr. Giants coaches/trainers and Athletics Staff will be doing a baseball training camp to teach basics for beginner to intermediate level players.  Learn how to hit, catch, and throw with us plus workouts specific to baseball/softball/teeball.  Let’s play ball!
