Joining Forces – Annual Thought Partnership Luncheon with SSFUSD

The Club enjoyed the privilege of hosting our annual thought partnership lunch with South San Francisco unified School District Superintendents, High School Principals, and Counselors. The Club values our partnership with South San Francisco Unified School District. We share many bright spots together. One of them is intentional collaboration time when WE can flex our ability to unite OUR minds and OUR resources for OUR high school teens. Our passion is fueled whenever you dig deep into uncovering innovative, new ways to work together and tap into mutual resources. We understand that the metrics have to go beyond how many kids are walking through our doors each day, and has to be more about quality and impact. Thank you to Superintendent Dr. Shawnterra Moore, Assistant Superintendent Keith Irish, Dianna Ariani, CTE District Coordinator, Baden High School Principal Stephon Redmond and Counselor Gena Sands, El Camino High School Principal Dan Lunt and Counselor Dr. Elin Cervantes, and South San Francisco High School Principal Dr. Cynthia Rapaido.

Many thanks to Superintendent Dr. Shawnterra Moore for sharing your thoughts, “In the words of an old African proverb, I am, because we are, and the partnerships we have embody this idea about interconnectedness.  As a school district, one of the things that make us great are our partnership because it truly does take a village! The luncheon today hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs, was not only a great way to establish and re-establish the relationship between our two organizations, but it set a positive tone about the importance of engaging in our partnership in a productive, collaborative way to support each other in our pursuit of ensuring equitable outcomes for all children. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of it!”
